Mayo

No se marchitan los besos
como los malinches,
ni me crecen vainas en los brazos;
siempre florezco
con esta lluvia interna,
como los patios verdes de mayo
y río porque amo el viento y las nubes
y el paso del los pájaros cantores,
aunque ande enredada en recuerdos,
cubierta de hiedra como las viejas paredes,
sigo creyendo en los susurros guardados,
la fuerza de los caballos salvajes,
el alado mensaje de las gaviotas.
Creo en las raíces innumerables de mi canto.

Acueducto de Amoreira

Acueducto de Amoreira en Elvas (Alentejo, Portugal). Tiene 843 arcos, es de estilo romano y fue construido entre los siglos XV y XVII. Llega a tener hasta 31 metros de altura, 8 km de largo y aún está en uso. Fue mandado construir por el rey Manuel I de Portugal, transportando el agua hasta la Fuente de la Misericordia.

Iglesia del Hospital San Lázaro (Sevilla)

Es el hospital más antiguo de Sevilla en funcionamiento, antiguo lazareto para enfermos de lepra e infecciosos. Construido extramuros,  fundado en el siglo XIII por Alfonso X el Sabio. Posiblemente ya existía algún establecimiento anterior. La iglesia se cae a pedazos, está prácticamente abandonada y, en parte, tapiada, según la información que he recibido. Hoy suele atender a pacientes muy enfermos y terminales.
